About us
The activities of Linked by Offshore Wind have started in September 2022 with the signing of a covenant for Poland and currently we are active in three regions with three different clusters on Poland, the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) and Finland.
These three clusters named ‘LinkedbyOffshoreWind’ (LBOW), consist of Dutch offshore wind companies and technology experts that can share knowledge and expertise with the businesses and governments in the respective countries. By actively collaborating with local partners, the LBOW focusses on teamwork, collaboration, and innovation to help ensure that future offshore wind farms in the three Linkedbyoffshorewind regions have an economical, safely operated, and sustainable future.
Teaming up with the Netherlands
The Linkedbyoffshorewind cluster closely works together with the Dutch government (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) and the local Netherlands Embassies in the given countries. Through this public private partnership we can share and exchange our knowledge as a front-runner in cost-efficient offshore wind development and installation. By collaborating with supporting partners NedZero and Marin, we have direct access to their networks and the latest insights into trends from the market. Together with sector organisations NedZero and IRO/NMT, HHWE, we are closely working together to facilitate cooperation between the Netherlands and international offshore companies.
What we offer:
Knowledge exchange
Through G2G and K2K programs that are initiated by us, we foster collaboration and skills development. We gather market information and share this within our network.
Missions
With our team consisting of a coordinator, local liaisons, the teams of the Embassies and the RVO, we are organizing trade missions, attending fairs, and hosting seminars and workshops to connect businesses and create new business opportunities for all that are involved.
Economic Diplomacy
Exchanging information with local public and private partners and vice versa. This task is carried out mainly by the Netherlands Embassies and the relevant ministries.
Towards a long-term partnership
Together, with the public and private sector from the Netherlands and with our partners in the focus regions we can realize ambitious goals. We can prove that offshore wind is a powerful and cost-effective solution to achieve climate goals while effectively contributing to economic opportunities through renewable energy and ensuring energy security for the region. Ultimately, this leads to high certainty for project developers, increased investor confidence, and lower overall costs. With the energy ambitions of Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland aligning with the Netherlands, we can contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable planet.
